The Lazarus Project (formerly known asThe Heaven Project) is a 2008 American drama/thriller filmdirected and written by John Patrick Glenn. Plot

When Ben, a reformed criminal, unexpectedly loses his job, heturns to his ex-con brother which subsequently leads toa laboratory robbery gone horribly wrong. Sentenced to death, hewakes up from his lethal injection near a psychiatric hospital in asmall Oregon town, where he istold that he has been given a second chance from God and to begin work as a groundskeeper at the hospital. As timegoes on, and with a wife and daughter he left behind, he wonderswhether he has truly cheated death or if he has become part of afar more sinister plan.[2][3]

Written and directed by John Patrick Glenn in his directorialdebut, production was originally slated for September 2005 withMandeville Films[5] but wasultimately delayed. Production finally began in March 2007 withfilming beginning on April 27, 2007 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.[6]

The film will mark the first company credit for Be GoodProductions, a production company created by Paul Walker, Brandon Birtell and TimWhitcome.[7]

Composer Brian Tyler recorded the score for thefilm. He has stated that, 'This one is going to be an ensemble typeof score, very introspective, very heartfelt, it is a movie aboutpurgatory and it's goingto be different than anything I've done before, and I am reallyhappy and very excited doing it.'[8]
